Prescription Provider Changed to Envision/Rx Options Effective January 1, 2008
Ohio Laborers’ Fringe Benefit Programs is the Administrative Office for the following Trust Funds:
Ohio Laborers’ District Council-Ohio Contractors’ Association Insurance Fund. The Insurance Fund was established in 1963 to provide medical benefits for eligible members* who work for participating contractors.
Laborers’ District Council and Contractors Pension Fund of Ohio. The Pension Fund was established in 1967 to provide pension benefits to eligible members at retirement.
Ohio Laborers’ Training and Upgrading Trust Fund. The Training and Upgrading Fund was established in 1968 to provide basic training in construction skills and continued education to eligible members. Visit their website here.
Ohio Laborers’ District Council – Ohio Contractors’ Association Cooperation and Education Trust Fund otherwise known as LECET.LECET was established in 1995 to create a forum for improving communication and building amicable relations between representatives of labor and management.
Under the collective bargaining agreement, employers pay contributions to the Trust Funds. The Trustees invest the funds in accordance with the terms of the trust agreement and pay benefits from the accumulated funds or purchase investments.The benefits provided by the Funds are financed through contractor contributions (also called employer contributions) based on hours worked by the members. The contractors are obligated to pay contributions to the Funds based on collectively bargained agreements entered into with the Local Unions for hours worked within the Union’s jurisdiction.The contributions are remitted monthly to the Administrative Office and invested until needed to pay benefits to the members.
Each Fund administered by the organization is managed and controlled by the Board of Trustees made up of management representatives appointed by the Ohio Contractors’ Association or Associated General Contractors and labor representatives appointed by the Laborers’ District Council of Ohio.Each Board employs professional advisers.
A “member” is a construction laborer employed by a participating contractor. Other members include employees of the Administrative Office and Local Union Offices who have entered into Participation Agreements with the Funds.
